Have you ever heard this one?

🎶 “The fruit of the Spirit’s not a banana… The fruit of the Spirit’s not a banana… If you wanna be a banana, you might as well hear it— You can’t be a fruit of the Spirit!” 🎶

If you grew up in church, there’s a good chance that song is now stuck in your head! 😄

But behind the fun song is a beautiful truth: God wants His Spirit to produce something in our lives that is far more meaningful than what we could ever grow on our own.

Today we’re continuing our Life in the Spirit series with The Fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22–23 gives us a picture of what happens when we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us:

Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control.

These aren’t simply qualities we try harder to produce. They are fruit the Holy Spirit grows in us as we walk with God and allow Him to transform our hearts and our lives.
