Today the biggest barrier to faith in Jesus for many people is the reality of so much suffering in the world. We can ask, "If God is truly good and all powerful, how can He allow murder, rape, war, starvation, disease, and famine?" These questions can become very personal when you have lost a loved one or have been rejected by someone you loved. The pain can be so great that even a believer may question if God is there at all, let alone either truly loving or all powerful. The Bible has a lot to say about this important question, and, this Sunday, Dr. Alan Ehler will review how the Bible shows the suffering we see, and experience does not deny the existence or nature of God but actually helps us better understand Him and experience His comfort in and victory over suffering
