As we conclude John 6, we're going to look at the finale of this long scene between Jesus and the crowd that was fed at the feeding of the 5,000. The unfortunate reality of our faith is that far too many people turn away from Jesus when he no longer meets our expectations. In this passage, we'll see many disciples return to their old ways of living. Yet, John writes these things not to be discouraged! As Jesus says, even one of the chosen 12 will betray him; in this way, we know that genuine conversion is a gift from the Father.
